Gulp - those cheekbones!!!!!!!!

If I had to be negative I just think the eyes are a tiny bit to big, but really my eyes are on those cheekbones ;)

Thanks ever for checking this out and your feed back. The eyes are exaggerated but my intent was to play on the "eyes windows to the soul" idea, the abusive S6 and Spike's confession to Buffy that he has never been close to anyone in his life with the exception of his mother.

Wow, that's certainly an interesting approach! He looks so old and tired, poor thing. Sort of martyred. And such soft eyes... I really like the eyes.

That confession of his always being alone - that just got to me in such a powerful way it has always stayed with me and had a huge impact on my perceptions of Spike.

What do you think - these eyes remind me a little of his expressions in Chosen. One in particular, close up with this very soft and haunting quality while he looks down at Buffy. To this day that image remains one of my favorites - way up on the list probably top 10.

thank you for your feed back.

Chosen: yes, now you mention it!

You captured his facial structure very well. He does look like an old and sad (world weary) version of Spike. And you have such a way with colours!

Thanks Tons for your feed back -

That background image, one of my TV abstracts, reflected that same quality of the painting. I think of it as "desolation of the heart life spirit"

I'm liking this combination of my paintings with digital - started a Buffyverse Cards series using this style.

Such a unique depiction of Spike. Even though his features are exaggerated, it is definitely Spike. I like this!

Thank you so much - I've been painting Spike for several years and the ones I like best are always in the dark expressionist style. I suck at traditional portraits style but I keep working at it and I am getting better.
