I'm not really a fan of the big letters, but the colours are lovely.

Always good to have your feed back - working with trying to use type/text more as design element is part of my working with different techniques.

It's rare that I disagree with double_dutchess, but this time I do. I like the writing very much, the only thing I don't find quite fitting is the red writing. It's both the color and the wording - I don't think this is what the study expresses (imo...), and thus the bright red only distracts from the rest and jars me.

The pics of both of them are gorgeous, and what you did with them is stunning. I especially love the blue smoke(?) connecting them.

I think you are right about the "expression" of the piece as a good fit for the words but this was done as a study of design elements for type. My use of Red is for strong balance and creation of depth of field motion - the red forces the eye to travel from front Buffy to rear Spike and also helps anchor it all against the soft background blue.

I used dynamic duo because I associated it with heroes and partners. I readily admit however that I Suck at writing.

I don't think that you suck at writing at all :)

It's very interesting to know about your thought process and intentions, and I have to admit that it mostly works well as intended. Except that my eyes always start with Spike, and I think that is (apart from it being because it's SPIKE :D ) because he's almost in the center of the picture, while Buffy is, though in the foreground, at the right edge.

Interestingly it works quite well as you intended it to, including the red lines, as soon as I mirror the picture (I tried it). I guess it's because I'm too much used to read from left to right?

Very happy that you like the piece as it's my attempt to try different styles and techniques. It also why I am experimenting with using my original paintings with my fanart.
